Nigeria: Human Capital for Evidence-Based Planning

An important capacity-building component of the NEHSI project is assisting health workers to organise their efforts increasingly in relation to the results they achieve in terms of impact and coverage and help improve local and state government capacity for results-based management of health.

Health planners from state ministries of health and local government departments in Bauchi and Cross River states have attended a course in epidemiology and evidence-based planning with two modules of two weeks each in February and June 2011, and a three week module in May 2012.
