Universal home visits to improve maternal and child health in Bauchi State Nigeria
CIET’s five-year project Video edutainment: Impact on infant and maternal outcomes in Toro, Nigeria, from 2015-2020, takes place in Bauchi State, Nigeria, and seeks to improve maternal and early child health.
CIET in the department of Family Medicine at McGill University, Canada, undertakes this project in partnership with the Federation of Muslim Women Associations of Nigeria (FOMWAN) and the Bauchi State Primary Health Care Development Agency (BSPHCDA).
The project is funded under the Innovating for Maternal and Child Health in Africa (IMCHA) initiative, supported by Global Affairs Canada, Canadian Institutes for Health Research (CIHR), and the International Development Research Centre (IDRC).
